Yes, Heinz no added sugar baked beans are now 100% suitable for vegans. 

Previously the no added sugar variety of beans from Heinz wasn’t suitable for Vegans, and that’s because they contained a minuscule amount of honey as part of the flavouring. However, the recipe has since been updated and this ingredient has now been removed.

Yes, Heinz Baked Beans are gluten free, with the exception of a few varieties such as barbecue, curry, and smokey bacon flavours, as they contain wheat or barley.

These peri peri flavoured baked beans don’t contain any ingredients from animals, making them suitable for vegans and vegetarians alike, they are also gluten free too.

These are the Heinz baked beans that we know and love, but with a kick of chilli. Looking at the ingredients we can see they are suitable for a gluten free diet and for vegetarians and vegans too.

Beans (52%), Tomatoes (25%), Water, Apple, Sugar, Curry Powder (contains Wheat, Mustard, Celery), Modified Cornflour, Salt, Colour – Plain Caramel, Herb Extract, Spice.

These curry flavoured beans from Heinz are also suitable for vegans and veggies, but they do contain wheat, so they aren’t gluten free. 

Heinz Smokey Bacon Beans Ingredients

Beans (48%), Tomatoes (33%), Water, Sugar, Smoked Bacon (3%, Pork, Salt, Spice Extracts), Modified Cornflour, Malt Vinegar (from Barley), Smoke Flavouring, Onion Powder, Salt, Cornflour, Colour – Plain Caramel, Yeast Extract.

Many bacon flavoured products don’t contain animal products, however that sadly isn’t the case for these smokey bacon flavoured beans from Heinz. This means they aren’t suitable for vegans or vegetarians, and the use of barley in the malt vinegar means they’re aren’t gluten-free either.

These Heinz beans with sausages contain pork, so they aren’t suitable for vegans or vegetarians, but they are gluten-free.
